"I saw this film at it's European premiere last night at the Edinburgh Film Festival and I was very surprised. The first 1/3 of the film is a well stylized documentary but then this story, which goes from implausible to downright absurd. If the story wasn't true, you would find yourself thinking that the director was trying to string you along and at the very end pop out and say "naw, I was just kidding". There are so many parts of it the require you to suspend belief only to remind yourself it was reality.

While there maybe no new information, the ability to portray complex situations from the perspective of the participant remind us all that truth and the human condition are relative. You are left with unanswered questions, doubts and just shaking your head. Well polished, well executed and well edited, there are few documentaries that can suck you into them and actually wonder what is next."

The fact is that crew jobs are getting harder to find and are not paying what they used to. It's getting tough out there! But don't despair - if you are seeking work in the yachting industry for the money and travel opportunities, there's a better way - and you get your freedom back.
My husband and I finished working on mega yachts after nearly 9 years in the industry. We were tired of being at the beckon call of our boss, dropping everything when he changed his plans -- and it was difficult to make any plans of our own.
Although we found the travel fantastic with our crew jobs, we missed our family and friends and we wanted the freedom to do what we wanted, when we wanted once again. We were seeking an alternative to the low flexibility of the industry but we'd had a taste of fat salaries and exotic destinations and were keen to maintain this side of things.
These are the top 2 alternatives to working in the mega-yacht industry that we found:
1). Buy a Traditional Business:
It took a very significant investment for us to buy, but we had the potential to take control of our financial future, which was why we took on crew jobs in the first place. It's a great earning opportunity, though we found that our desire for time freedom was not being met with this option.
2). A Low Cost and High Income Internet Business:
I came across another business that could be operated via the internet. The income opportunity far surpassed even some of the best jobs in the yachting industry and cost a tiny fraction of what we paid for our traditional business. Choosing an internet business has been the perfect choice for us as it also gives us fantastic travel opportunities like our old crew jobs did.
For a long time we thought that the only way we could get ahead financially was to work in the yachting industry, and for this reason we stayed with it longer than we really wanted to. Putting away a financial nest egg was part of our plans for building our future but we have since seen there are other ways, and I think better ones.
So, keep in mind that the yachting industry is not the only way to earn great money and get ahead. There are alternatives out there that can offer you all the things you love about crew jobs like the freedom to travel, and give you back your independence to work your own schedule.

Overall a Thailand property investment can be a very rewarding endeavour, especially if you are purchasing a holiday home with a view to renting it out when not in use.

There are so many websites out there that have not been optimised for search engines at all, the question is should web designers optimise websites for search engines as part of the overall solution?

Well it's perhaps a little unfair to criticise web designers for not doing SEO as standard since it is an entirely different skill set, however my opinion is that to be in the web design market these days in order to add value to clients some basic knowledge of SEO is essential.

Of course having the skill sets is one thing, but doing SEO properly is a time consuming process so arguably it should be an optional service in addition to website, and really if a client want their website to produce results for them, then they should be seriously considering this.

However I do believe that every site should have basic SEO included, this means that HTML title tags can be made relevant to the website itself, and the website should be search engine friendly making it easy for either a customer to complete the SEO themselves or an SEO consultant to manage should the design firm not offer SEO services themselves.

Unfortunately this does not seem to be the case most of the time and customers are often left with what might be a great site from a design or technical point of view, but just does not produce results for them.

My advice would be to find a web design company that actually offer design, development and SEO in-house, this way you should be confident in the knowledge that your website should look great, be technically good and actually produces results for you.
